    Biorepository Manager

    Qualification Requirements

    • To be considered for this role, you will bring a recognised qualification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Technician registered with SMLTSA, or a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Scientist with a BSc Honours, MSc, or PhD. This strong academic and professional foundation will enable you to confidently lead technical practices and uphold the integrity of the biorepository while contributing to a culture of excellence and credibility.
    • You will bring at least two years of experience within a biobank or laboratory environment, giving you the confidence and insight to navigate both technical and operational demands with ease. Your background will include hands-on experience with accreditation standards and laboratory quality management systems, allowing you to uphold and strengthen a culture of quality and compliance.
    • You will also have proven experience in workflow planning and laboratory efficiency optimisation, enabling you to design and refine processes that support both performance and consistency. This experience will position you to lead with clarity and purpose in a fast-paced setting, while supporting your team to adapt, grow, and deliver their best work in an evolving environment.

    Role Skills Requirements

    • In this role, your expertise in biobanking best practices and regulatory requirements will underpin the safe and compliant management of biological specimens. You will bring strong project management capability, allowing you to plan effectively, prioritise with clarity, and see initiatives through to successful completion. Your organisational and analytical strengths will help you maintain high standards while identifying opportunities for improvement.
    • You will be someone who values people as much as process, with the ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team to perform with confidence and purpose. Your collaborative approach will support cross-functional partnerships and build strong relationships with stakeholders and clients. Familiarity with biobank management systems and sample tracking technologies will enable you to oversee efficient and accurate operations, while your attention to detail ensures that quality and compliance remain at the heart of everything you do. Experience with PBMC isolation and handling will be advantageous and will further strengthen your technical contribution.
