Duties:
Perform routing inspections of boilers. (Ensure the correct usage and flow of chemicals). Record various meter readings in boiler log sheet on an hourly basis. Diagnose faults visually during observation.
Follow correct procedures to correct these faults by making adjustments. Record all faults in report book. Observe level of coal in bunker.
Request for burner to be topped up. Ensure that the prescribed safety measures are adhered to at all times. Monitoring the water/fuel level in the boiler. Ensure adherence and compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
