Duties:

• Perform routing inspections of boilers. (Ensure the correct usage and flow of chemicals). Record various meter readings in boiler log sheet on an hourly basis. Diagnose faults visually during observation.
• Follow correct procedures to correct these faults by making adjustments. Record all faults in report book. Observe level of coal in bunker.
• Request for burner to be topped up. Ensure that the prescribed safety measures are adhered to at all times. Monitoring the water/fuel level in the boiler. Ensure adherence and compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
