Job Advert Summary    

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the various components of our poultry processing equipment, ensuring uninterrupted production and the highest standards of safety.

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Red Seal Certificate (Trade as a Boilermaker)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a food processing plant
• Proven experience as a Boilermaker, preferably in a poultry processing or similar industrial setting.
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
• Detail and accuracy orientated.
• Effective communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
• Proficient in welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques.
• Strong knowledge of boiler systems, pressure vessels, and processing machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Developing, installation and commissioning of steel structures
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on boilers, pressure vessels, and other processing machinery.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Repair and replace defective components using welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques.
• Collaborate with other maintenance and production teams to optimize equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment history.
