    Amonia Refrigeration Plant Operator

    Job Advert Summary    

    Supreme Processing has an opportunity available for a Refrigeration Plant operator in the production department. The purpose of the position is to operate the Ammonia refrigeration plant in the production department, to maintain the equipment according to the suppliers’ specifications and adhere to HACCP and OHSACT standards. 

    Minimum Requirements    

    • 2-3 years’ experience in Ammonia refrigeration.
    • N2 mechanical or electrical engineering.
    • Category A or B refrigeration certified. (a must have)
    • Self -motivated and ability to work independently.
    • Competent on job specific in-house job skills.

    Maintenance Store Assistant

    Job Advert Summary    

    Supreme Processing has an opportunity available for a Maintenance Store Assistant in the maintenance department. The purpose of the position is to provide support in the Maintenance stores by supplying and purchasing stock for the plant machinery and equipment. The successful candidate will report to the Maintenance Foreman.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • 1-2 Years previous stores experience in a maintenance /engineering environment
    • Minimum Qualification: Grade 12.
    • Valid forklift licence advantageous
    • Basic computer skills
    • Proficiency in using inventory management software used to track and monitor stock levels.
    • Basic knowledge of the types of spare parts used in a food manufacturing company.
    • Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Competent on job specific in-house job skills.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Receive and process requests for spare parts from artisans and other maintenance personnel.
    • Accurately issue spare parts, recording details of each transaction in the inventory system.
    • Coordinate with artisans to ensure they have the necessary parts for scheduled maintenance tasks.
    • Collaborate with the Maintenance Stock Planner to reorder items as needed.
    • Ensure timely procurement and replenishment of stock to avoid shortages.
    • Organize the maintenance storeroom for efficient storage and retrieval of items.
    • Implement a clear labelling system to facilitate easy identification.
    • Provide support in identifying the right spare parts and tools for specific maintenance tasks.
    • Maintain very high personal and stores hygiene at all times.
    • Perform any other reasonable task within his/her ability as operationally required by the company at any time .
    • Moving equipment in and around the stores using lifting machinery such as forklifts.

    Minimum Requirements

    Millwright

    Job Advert Summary    

    We are looking for an experienced Millwright, preferably in the Poultry industry. The goal is to ensure all maintenance support activities are carried out efficiently and effectively to allow the other operations to function properly. 

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12
    • Qualified (Red Seal Certificate)
    • High Voltage Certification would be beneficial.
    • Proven experience as Millwright
    • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a Millwright in a Poultry environment would be beneficial.

    • Responsible for Electrical and Mechanical, but will also include Plumbing, Ground Maintenance, Vehicle Checks, Fault Finding and Routine Inspections
    • Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
    • Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
    • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate of testing devices.
    • Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
    • Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.

    • Quality Control: Ensuring the quality of eggs, chicks, and poultry products by implementing quality control measures, monitoring hatch rates, and addressing any issues that may arise.
    • Staff Management: Hiring, training, and supervising hatchery staff, including incubator technicians, hatchery workers, and maintenance personnel.
    • Biosecurity: Implementing biosecurity protocols to prevent the spread of diseases and pathogens within the hatchery, including controlling access to the facility, disinfecting equipment, and monitoring for signs of illness in chicks.
