Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist, who will be responsible for analysing large datasets, developing machine learning models, and implementing data-driven solutions. They work closely with cross-functional teams within the design and construction sector to gather requirements, clean and pre-process data, and perform exploratory data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be required to assist in developing and maintaining data pipelines, conducting statistical analysis, and visualising data.
• Collect, clean, and pre-process data from various sources to ensure its quality and reliability.
• Develop and implement data pipelines for efficient data extraction and transformation.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to understand patterns, trends, and anomalies in the data.
• Identify relevant variables and relationships that can inform business decisions.
• Create compelling visualizations to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Develop dashboards and reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Essential Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Minimum 3 years experience working as a Data Scientist or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R is essential.
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis, data manipulation, and data visualization techniques.
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and frameworks is desirable.
• Proficiency with Power BI and Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to formulate and test hypotheses, identify patterns and trends in data, and draw meaningful insights from complex datasets.
• Experience in the construction or financial sectors would be a plus but not essential.
