Boilermaker Foreman at Sea Harvest Corporation (Pty) Ltd

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE(BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

• Supervise and coordinate activities of the boilermakers, welders, operators, and general workers.
• Plan operations and scheduling workloads efficiently utilizing assets and minimize cost.
• Monitor apprentices

QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• The following trade tested qualifications will be considered:
• Boilermaker Qualifications with a minimum of 5 years experience
• Must be qualified with a valid trade test certificate
• Work experience of at least 10 years in the marine industry
• Ability and acumen to work independently, read and understand drawings
• Strong boilermaker background and knowledge of welding procedures
• Ability to operate machinery, power tools and equipment
• Knowledge of the materials used in welding jobs and steel structures of a vessel.
• Knowledge of the materials to use for certain jobs
• Good knowledge of health and safety
• Good knowledge of welding procedures
• Good communication skills between staff and management
• Attention to detail, good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
