Boring Mill Turner - Spartan at Bosch Rexroth Africa

Job Advert Summary    
We require the services of a qualified Turner in our Production Department. The Boring Mill Turner will be responsible for setting up and operating boring machines (horizontal and vertical) to drill, bore, ream, mill, or countersink metal workpieces to specifications. Other day-to-day tasks include checking parts for conformity with specifications, troubleshooting machine errors, and maintaining machining equipment in good condition.

Minimum Requirements    

•     Recognized trade papers (Preferably)
•     Good understanding of tooling and their application
•     Cylinder /-components manufacturing experience
•     Must be able to work under pressure
•     Must be able to meet strict deadlines 
•     Good attention to detail

Duties and Responsibilities    

•     Ability to read and understand drawings
•     Ability to use all measuring equipment
•     Ability to manufacture to strict tolerances
•     To manufacture components to suit repaired as well as new cylinders
•     An understanding of cylinders and their applications
•     Overtime will be a requirement when necessary
