Business Analyst at Hubble Studios

Role 

As a Mid-Level Business Analyst, you will be responsible for establishing processes to translate tactical and strategic plans into executable projects by eliciting requirements from our clients, building out robust and scalable specifications for the e-learning solutions we develop for them, and validating that the solutions meet our quality standards.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Independently lead (under the guidance of the Business Analyst Lead) business and systems analysis for projects that align with Hubble Studios’ standard product offering which includes customisations.
• Lead all quality assurance for these projects.
• Contribute to and support analysis and testing efforts for larger strategic projects that will be led by the Business Analyst Lead.
• Implement standard documents and artifacts as required under the guidance of the Business Analyst Lead.
• Understand and interpret technical aspects of the work we do.
• Support existing business processes and technology.
• Research and propose new developments and changes to business processes and technology.
• Continuously improve and add value to the business analyst team and function

Education/Experience

• 3 –5 years’ combined experience in Business Analysis and Quality Assurance competencies. 
• Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or Finance or Business Science with IT-related courses as minor subjects.)
• Experience in Education and/or Technology.
• Computer literacy, including competence in using Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Hubble Studios’ service offerings.

 Beneficial 

• Diploma/Certificate in Business Analysis
• An understanding of the software development life cycle and the comparative pros and cons of traditional (“Waterfall”) and Agile techniques.

Exposure 

• Must have a track recording in working directly with implementation (development) teams, and ideally, come from a background where they had been embedded with a development team.
• Must have experience in custom software, and ideally also have some exposure to product development (although not critical).
• Apply yourself actively across multiple projects that are in various phases of delivery, working with clients that span multiple time zones.
