Business Analyst - senior (Compliance Tech - Suspicious Activity Monitoring) at Investec

Investec Sandton is looking for a business analyst for the Compliance Technology team. The role will involve project and business as usual deliverables, the resolution of user issues and requests, as well as maintenance and support of systems and related interfaces.

The self-managed individual will have to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, subject matter experts, other project managers and team members, and will drive the delivery of solutions that meet or exceed expectations and are aligned with business purpose and strategies.

Experience, skill and capability

•  Independent and original thinking will be required while solving complex issues, particularly as multiple systems, clients, and technologies are involved. 
•  Ensure thorough impact analysis is conducted for all changes against existing business processes, technical processes, data, and integration. 
•  Participate in the full SDLC depending on the scope of the initiative including post implementation activities. This includes the formulation of appropriate documents and presentation at the various forums and checkpoints.
•  Ensure that processes, business rules (including decision point trees and rules definitions), data requirements (including Business Data Dictionary and reference List), project administration etc. are accurately and completely documented in line with the delivery strategy.
•  Ensure that all projects / SMI's are delivered meeting business requirements, can be measured through a sound business case.
•  Feedback regularly to the team and stakeholders on progress and knowledge sharing.
•  Manage priorities with stakeholders.

Experience in the following is key to this role: 

•  8+ years' business analyst experience working in an IT software development team. 
•  Hands-on experience working on cloud solutions and SaaS will be an advantage.
•  A proactive mindset focused on identifying and mitigating risks and resolving issues.
•  Experience with Agile methodology and SAFe will be an advantage.
•  High levels of ownership and ability to work with a certain amount of ambiguity.
•  Ability to interact and contribute effectively to both functional and technical areas.
•  Excellent leadership, communication, planning and facilitation skills. 
•  Critical thinking, solution driven and strong technical background. 
•  2+ years of SQL scripting experience
•  Ability to read logs
•  Good coordination & problem solving skills
•  Experience with working in different teams
