    Business and Project Controller

    Why this role matters

    • As Site Document Controller, you will provide vital on-site document control support so that project and site teams always have access to current, approved documentation. You will be the first point of contact for site document inputs and contractor submissions, helping to keep information accurate, traceable, and available throughout construction and handover.

    What you'll be doing

    In this role, you will:

    • Control the Site Master Document List (SMDL), including document dates, status tracking, and reporting.
    • Receive, check, upload, distribute, and maintain external documents and drawings in line with approved document-control processes.
    • Manage site correspondence and project email inputs and outputs, ensuring records are complete and accessible.
    • Act as the contractor interface for document submissions, including contractor kick-off meetings and document-control training.
    • Ensure compliance with approved templates, naming conventions, document standards, and workflow requirements.
    • Ensure only current and approved documentation is used on site, coordinating closely with the Main Office Document Control team and the Document Control Lead.
    • Support the capture of redlines and the transition of documentation to as-built records.
    • Assist with site audits and inspections, provide document-status updates to site management, and train site staff on the document management system and procedures.
    • Your work will enable site teams to make informed decisions using reliable, controlled project information.

    What you'll gain

    • Professional growth through ownership, exposure, and meaningful contribution from day one.
    • Hands-on experience in a fast-paced construction environment where accuracy, coordination, and strong document discipline make a visible difference.
    • Exposure to EPC and construction project documentation, document management systems, contractor coordination, and as-built handover processes.
    • The opportunity to work closely with engineering, site, project management, contractors, and the wider Document Control team while building strong project-information capability.

    What you'll bring

    Experience and qualifications

    • Higher education and relevant experience, with at least two years of document-control experience, preferably on EPC or construction projects using an electronic document management system.
    • A sound understanding of the full project document life cycle, document management system workflows, and the mapping of procedures to project requirements.
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements for document management and the ability to apply consistent document-control standards.
    • The ability to train stakeholders on document management systems, processes, and procedures.
    • Fluent written and spoken English; additional language skills such as Spanish, German, French, or Arabic will be advantageous.
    • A clear, structured, and systematic approach, with the technical awareness to understand the documentation required to execute site works.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to review information, evaluate options, and implement practical solutions.
    • The ability to compile and present clear, structured status reports to management.
    • Confidence working across multicultural environments, with clear and professional communication skills.
    • A self-driven, proactive, dependable working style, with the ability to prioritise a substantial workload, work independently, and deliver accurately to agreed schedules in a deadline-driven environment.
