The Bravura Business Consultant is a core member of a layered, multi-disciplinary team responsible for the implementation of Bravura software solutions within Wealth Management clients. This may entail designing, developing, testing, and implementing one or more business solutions. The Business Consultant's responsibility will be to provide guidance regarding system capabilities and operational use to support a client's product proposition and operating model. Wealth Management experience is preferred.

Main Activities

Solutioning

• Distil information provided by clients into concise, testable requirements
• Ensure separation between requirements and solution
• Understand and present proposed solutions to the client (configuring existing features, setting up workflows or making core development changes) and obtain relevant feedback and approval
• Participate in the configuration of the Sonata application or other products as needed
• Document requirements for change in the form of clear, testable business outcomes; develop the testing criteria that engineering staff will use to ensure that any development work has been successfully completed

Self-Management

• Agree prioritisation, expected effort, and delivery date of assigned tasks with Leads
• Self-manage assigned tasks, seeking guidance on priorities where required
• Report or escalate to Leads in timely manner issues that present a risk to either the planned dates for allocated items or the viability of the intended Client solution
• Act in consultation with Leads and Seniors to resolve issues on the allocated workstream and tasks

Quality Delivery

• Follow Bravura processes and use designated templates to expected standard, seeking guidance where necessary
• Perform allocated testing to validate system behaviour, including consideration of additional aspects to mitigate regression risk
• Undertake triage and resolution of issues, ensuring alignment with approved requirements and solutions
• Investigate and seek to reproduce defects prior to them being passed to Development

Collaboration

• Act as a buddy to upskill assigned new hires and project joiners
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with the client and internal stakeholders
• Demonstrate and train client staff on use of the solution

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 4 years’ experience in a business consulting / client facing capacity within successful technology implementation programmes
• Experience of multiple, end-end implementations of large financial applications
• Financial Services background essential with Wealth Management experience preferable
• Experience working for a software solution provider is an advantage
• Experience with a workflow tool and BPMN – designing or setting up processes – is an advantage
• Understanding of APIs and / or web services
• Ability to use SQL queries to analyse and triage data issues
• Educated to degree level in Commerce or IT
