Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Assistant to join our BD team, this role will be based in our Johannesburg office. We are looking for a motivated individual who can work on exciting projects and has a passion for Business Development and Marketing.
Reporting into the Business Development Manager, the Business Development & Marketing Assistant will support in delivering key and exciting projects and manage the day-to-day activities of the regional marketing and business development plans.
Duties and Responsibilities:
General BD and Marketing – contribute to the successful implementation of marketing and business development plans, taking responsibility for quality, consistency, and accuracy through:
- Supporting with both projects (Group/Sector/Office and firmwide projects) and marketing campaigns across the full marketing mix in collaboration with the Business Development Manager.
- Supporting with brand profile and reputation raising campaigns across the region
Events – working with the Business Development Manager and central events team to support the delivery of events aligned with the business development and marketing strategy:
- Supporting in end-to-end delivery of events – content creation, logistics and assist with social media posts.
- Initiate the de-brief process and track event through CRM software.
Bids – support the generation of new revenue through:
- Providing support to the Business Development Manager and Central Bids team in applying the firm's bid management process and responding to bidding opportunities
- Ensuring opportunities are fully briefed before work begins on new opportunities.
- Drafting and collating client specific and general BD documents.
Relevant Experience:
- A motivated self-starter who is an excellent team player and loves a challenge.
- Flexible and able to use own initiative, takes ownership for own work, delivering consistently high-quality output.
- Minimum 2 years prior marketing experience working across the full marketing mix (preferably within a multinational organisation).
- Previous business development experience.
- Experience of professional services marketing desirable but not essential.
- Experience in CRM systems preferrable.
