Business Development Intern (Fixed-Term) at Pharma Dynamics (Pty) Ltd

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct market research to identify opportunities in local and international markets.
• Analyse competitor product portfolios, pricing, and market positioning.
• Assist in identifying potential licensing, distribution, and partnership opportunities.
• Support product selection based on patent expiry, market demand, and company strategic focus.
• Prepare data reports, presentations, and business cases for management.
• Maintain databases of customers, partners, and market intelligence.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory updates, and healthcare policies affecting the generics business.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance.
• Participate in client meetings, industry conferences, and business development activities as required.

• Perform any other duties as requested for the success of Business Development

Requirements

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, particularly generic medicines.
• Understanding of product lifecycle, patent expiry, and regulatory processes.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical databases and market research tools is an advantage.

 Preferred Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:

• Pharmacy (B.Pharm/ M.Pharm)
• Business Administration (MBA – Marketing/Pharma Management)
• Pharmaceutical Management
• Finance and related qualification
