    Business Development Manager – Manned Guarding (Mining Sector)

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Identify and secure new business opportunities in the mining sector.
    • Build strong relationships with decision-makers at mining operations.
    • Prepare and present proposals, tenders, and commercial offers.
    • Negotiate contracts that align with company goals.
    • Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends.
    • Manage existing accounts and drive client satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service excellence.

    Skills and Competencies    

    • Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the mining sector
    • Skilled in preparing proposals and responding to tenders
    • Confident in negotiating contracts and closing deals
    • Strong relationship-building and client management skills
    • Able to conduct market research and apply insights to business strategy
    • Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Excel
    • Clear and effective communicator with strong presentation skills
    • Analytical thinker who makes informed decisions based on data
    • Organised and results-driven, with a focus on meeting customer expectations

    Qualifications    

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience selling to the mining sector (not limited to security services)
    • Proven success in business development and strategic sales
    • Strong understanding of mining operations and procurement processes
    • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
    • Willingness to travel extensively within Rustenburg and Bushveld regions
