    Business Development Manager

    Job Description:

    • Good Technology background. Candidate would have worked in an IT organization or in an IT run project.
    • Should be well versed or have a good grasp in Technologies such as .Net, IBM, JAVA
    • Candidates should Own and Perform deliveries at the Customer
    • Is able to understand the nuances of delivery and be well suited to engage to the customer at all times
    • First prize to candidates who have services Education Sector clients

    Key Responsibility Areas:

    • Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
    • Oversee market expansion and growth in South Africa and other African regions
    • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
    • Researching organizations and institutions to find new opportunities.
    • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
    • Conducting thorough market research on potential logos to be targeted.
    • Develop thorough understanding of the market and point out market trends
    • Be the cloud product specialist and work with a portfolio of IT solutions
    • Visit customers on-site, take part in national exhibitions and trade shows
    • Developing proposals for clients.
    • Developing Business Plan goals and point out potential areas that require focus to ensure the solutions offered are in sync with market requirements

    Business Development Manager Requirements:

    • Must have atleast 10 years prior experience in business development, account management, technology sales, or any other sales / customer service exposure, and ideally from an IT sector background.
    • Should be a natural hunter, persistent and sales target driven with excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills to partner positively with decision makers.
    • Strong sales experience in public sector and government organizations (Education, Skills sector)
    • Must have a solid understanding of technology, training will be given, but an interest and knowledge of IT and cloud solutions would be an advantage
    • Must have ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
    • Knowledge of the Education sector in South Africa is preferred.
    • Must have Excellent organizational skills and the ability flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
    • Must be willing to travel
