Business Intelligence Analyst at GBS

What will you do?

• Create Engaging Reports: Create both standardised and custom reports, not only analyse data but also tell a compelling story to our business departments.
• Innovate for Efficiency: Collaborate with your team to develop tools and methodologies that refine operational efficiency, identifying exciting areas for improvement across our business KPIs.
• Lead BI Projects: Be involved in all stages of BI project work—from requirements gathering to implementation—ensuring each project, whether big or small, is a rewarding experience.
• Empower Stakeholders: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, determining the best approaches for collecting and presenting data to empowers them to make informed decisions.
• Discover Patterns: Dive into data collection and processing, sifting through information to uncover patterns and answer crucial business questions.
• Visualise Success: Create dynamic written reports and data visualisations to help stakeholders monitor metrics and make strategic decisions.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Initiate and lead efforts to enhance performance reporting, ensuring we’re always at the top of our game.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric / Grade 12
• A 3 year related diploma or Bachelor’s Degree required
• Experience within a Call centre would be advantageous 
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Business Intelligence Analyst or similar position essential
• Accounting/Finance experience preferred
• Familiarity with reporting in sales, marketing and other operational departments

Experience in working with the following tools:

• Microsoft BI Tools (SQL/SSIS/SSRS/SSAS/PowerBI)
• MySQL
• R / Python
• Expert capability in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of business processes and functional areas
• Possess experience in all stages of BI project work (requirements, design, implementation, testing and deployment)
• Experience in estimating solution development and delivering solutions against those estimates
