Business Intelligence Developer at AES Africa

You will own development, maintenance, support and administration of business intelligence solutions. This will allow serious autonomy, strategic input and scope. 

• Work closely with the business to define concepts, data, problem solving.
• Participate in design reviews.
• Develop solutions at a tactical level using data to facilitate critical decision making.
• Offer technical, functional and operation support for existing business intelligence  solutions
• Lead on BI solutions
• Lead on new BI capabilities and functionality, research and implement
• Provide support - diagnosing and resolving system problems;
• Owning and monitoring after-hours system functions;
• Work closely, and to a high standard with internal, external stakeholders and work partners
• to understand the reporting needs.

The sucessful candidate must have: 

• A relevant qualification (BSc Information Systems, BCom, Computer Science, or Engineering)
• Minimum 3 years BI application experience, of which QlikView, Qlik Sense, SAP BI tools, SAP Business objects (BOBJ), Tableau will be beneficial.
• Excellent analytical skills
• Problem-solving ability 
• User Experience, Design Thinking, Information Design
