    Business Intelligence Developer - Midrand

    Job description

    The purpose of a Business Intelligence Developer is to transform data into insight that can help to improve the value of the business. The Business Intelligence Developer generally work with the product owner, team leads and delivery manager, but may also work directly with senior management and clients to analyse data and deliver reports according to the client’s requirements.

    Minimum requirements

    Qualification and Experience Requirements

    • Minimum 3 years Business Intelligence development experience
    • BSc (Computer Science or Information Systems) /B Com (Information Systems)/Diploma in Information Systems or similar

    Key Competencies

    • Technical / Technology Skills
    • Working knowledge of BI technologies.
    • Experience as a BI Developer.
    • Understanding of business intelligence and data analytics techniques.
    • Understanding of data visualization techniques.
    • Basic understanding of statistics.
    • Key technical skills
    • Knowledge of a report writing tool. E.g., Jasper Reports, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlik View, SSRS
    • SQL – Oracle or ANSI standard
    • SQL Developer or similar
    • Unix - Vi
    • Ms-Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Teams
    • Communication/Telephonic Skills
    • Knowledge of ITS Integrator Student Administration System would be a plus.
    • Experience working at a college or University would be an advantage.
