    Business Manager for Spare Parts Division- Sub Saharan Africa

    What you will do

    Business Manager for Spare Parts Division- Sub Saharan Africa position is part of our Building Technology & Solutions business with Johnson Controls and directly reporting to the Sub Saharan Africa General Manager.

    You will be based in Johannesburg-South Africa and will be part of an emergent team that is focused in expanding our footprint and customer base to achieve our strong growth objectives.

    At this position, you will manage our sales and operations teams for the Spare Parts Business. You will develop & coach these teams to deliver the branch business plan by implementing and maintaining sales management best practices for excellent sales performance.

    How you will do it

    • Develops an annual sales plan & budget consistent with the branch’s business plan, e.g. branch profit, growth and marketing goals.
    • Compiles and submits accurate and timely sales pipeline and forecast data that allow effective business planning.
    • Analyzes market opportunities, develops and implements strategies to maximize margins while increasing market share.
    • Leads Spare Parts sales and operations team to fully understand all Johnson Controls sales tools, processes & methodologies.
    • Leads sales and operation teams to optimize terms & conditions that impact Accounts Receivable (A/R), Inventory and overall Trade Working Capital (TWC) assures full compliance with Johnson Controls’ financial standards.
    • Set clear, motivational goals to encourage the sales team to meet or exceed the sales plan.

    What we look for

    Required

    • National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical) and relevant subject matter to the Johnson Controls business or equivalent through solid sales / business management expertise.
    • Preferably more than 8 year of progressive experience in sales with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing a senior sales / business team.
    • Financial & business acumen
    • Excellent coaching, motivational & interpersonal skills
    • Proven track record in achieving sales/business results
