    Production and Quality Control Supervisor- Durban Cornubia

    Responsibilities:

    Quality Control and Process Forms:

    • Ensure the completion of all quality control and process forms. These include, but are not limited to:
    • Pre-operational checks
    • Verifications
    • Control sheets (temperature and thermometer checks)
    • Receiving
    • Sorting
    • Production and batch quality control (QC)
    • Dispatch
    • Rework 

    Collaboration with Operations:

    • Work closely with operations team to initiate corrective actions and preventive measures when necessary.
    • Address any quality or safety issues promptly and effectively.

    Adherence to Standards:

    • Ensure strict adherence to Food Safety system and standard operating procedures.
    • Monitor and track corrections and corrective actions to maintain compliance.

    Food Safety Management:

    • Support the food safety team leader in implementing and maintaining the food safety management system.
    • Coordinate with internal and external teams to adhere to the approved food safety system designed for the company.

    Problem Solving:

    • Independently address moderately complex issues with minimal supervision.
    • Escalate more complex issues to the appropriate staff when necessary.

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in food production, quality control, or factory operations.
    • Knowledge of food safety and quality, instrumentation, process flows, and systems.
    • Candidates with Food safety training or any qualifications for food safety will be scored higher

    Cloud DevOps Engineer – Johannesburg

    YOUR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

    The key focus areas of this role are:

    • Be hands-on with the tools and collaborate with multiple product squads to deliver collective
    • outcomes, covering the following:
    • Implement platform provisioning and maintenance solutions, e.g., setting up cloud platform
    • resources, middleware configuration, databases, etc with IaC.
    • Implement release engineering solutions, e.g., setting up release pipeline, release notes,
    • application deployment, etc.

    YOUR KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

    Knowledge acquired awareness and/or experience

    • Minimum 1 year or more with Azure cloud infrastructure setup and Infrastructure as Code (IAC).
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in Azure Cloud DevOps engineer role with Bicep.
    • Experience with various DevOps concepts, tools, and technologies.
    • Experience with CI/CD and related toolsets, good understanding with Azure DevOps.
    • Experience with operations integrations (e.g., system integrations via API, file transfer, etc.).
    • Experience in Agile framework supporting CI/CD processes.
    • Experience with infrastructure and network management (e.g., system patching, middleware
    • upgrade, monitoring, etc.)
    • Experience with local data centre resource management and setup.
    • Basic understanding of security and vulnerability management (e.g., firewall configuration, endpoint
    • upgrade, security patching, etc).
    • Industry / business knowledge of the Australian Insurance market (preferably with experience of
    • General Insurance) is highly desirable. 

    Skills acquired awareness and/or experience

    • Skills in infrastructure/network fundamentals, administrative toolsets, and scripting.

    Senior Manager (Contract Management Unit) – JHB

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage all Commercial and Contract matters for Infrastructure Projects including Contracts register. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with latest MFMA, PFMA and Supply Chain Management policies. Develop and implement strategies and business plans in line with SDBIP/ Infrastructure planning/ PMU and ESU standards. Trouble shoot and problem solving (escalated from Chief Contracts Manager and Chief Quantity Surveyor). Manage procurement process for all CAPEX Contracts. Develop and present the Contracts Management Unit annual operations plan and budget for incorporation into the CAPEX departmental budget. Provide leadership and management in the Contracts Management Unit through proactive planning. Develop appropriate procedures (SOPs) to provide sustainable Contracts Management Services. Develop and implement control systems and processes necessary for the Contracts Management Unit success. Develop and manage CAPEX budget Control expenditure by ensuing spending is appropriate and necessary for achievement of objectives. Compile reports and statistics. Administer the CAPEX Contracts Management Dashboard. Understand and utilize in-house MIS system relevant to the discipline. Manage contractors and project implementation KPI’s and KPA. Be responsible for CAPEX/OPERATIONS Procurement Documents from review of procurement documents to Bid advert to Tender Award.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Essential qualifications and experience:

    • Degree in Quantity Surveying + registration as professional QS with minimum 18 years’ experience of which 8 must be at managerial level OR
    • LLB Degree + registration as Arbitrator with Arbitration SA in Construction Contracts, 18 years relevant experience in Contract Management for Infrastructure Projects.
    • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management and related experience in MFMA/PPFA and construction and contract law knowledge and experience in NEC/JBCC/FIDIC/GCC forms of contract would be compulsory.

    Debt Collection Agent – Constantia Kloof

    Duties

    • Manage multiple debtors on behalf of a 3rd party debt collection firm that is tasked with collecting debts owed to SARS
    • Build strategies to recover outstanding payments owed to SARS from debtors and following through with the collection activity
    • Have a deep understanding and knowledge of tracking specific accounts with the ability to identify outstanding debts and then getting the debtor to start making payments toward settling the debt
    • Negotiate payment plans, payment terms and payment deadlines.
    • Deal effectively with SARS queries, questions, complaints and objections with regards debt owed to SARS
    • Deal professionally, respectfully, positively, and effectively with all debtors who owe monies to SARS but specially being extremely professional with belligerent debtors
    • Conduct all of the call administration process through a system called Excalibur in strict compliance with the companies operating standards of excellence
    • Contact SARS debtors, and establish Right Party Contact (RPC)
    • Negotiate fixed arrangements and settlements with SARS debtors based on matters assigned daily to the agent and to the broader collections team
    • Prepare and upload accurate debtor engagement notes within Excalibur 
    • Agents must be prepared to make a pre-determined number of debtor calls on a daily basis, prepare debtor correspondence and ensure that all communication and correspondence is recorded/saved/logged within Excalibur system
    • Attend to incoming calls/inbound communication from SARS debtors when specific campaigns are undertaken on behalf of SARS
    • Achieve the pre-determined target collection “debt to value ratio” as determined by the company’s management
    • Achieve the required call and debt collection rate on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis so that monthly income targets are met
    • Adhere to, and comply with, the companies strict code of corporate governance and compliance protocols
    • Adhere to, and comply with, the code of ethical practices as set out within the framework of the Debt Collectors Act 

    Experience and knowledge

    • Grade 12 with Accounting and Mathematics (non-negotiable)
    • Afrikaans and english (bilingual) non-negotiable 
    • Clear Criminal Record and credit score
    • Strong experience in dealing with corporate, business, consumers, and individuals
    • Strong Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word skills
    • Basic project management skills
    • Experience/Exposure or worked on SAPS, Solar and BIQ
    • Must be willing to work overtime
    • Must be able and willing to work under strong highly experienced leadership and management team
