    Director PGP Filling & Supply Chain - Germiston


    What you will enjoy doing

    • As a Director, you will be responsible for the oversight and optimization of PGP Filling & Supply Chain activities/sites which includes cylinder filling and cylinder maintenance operations, cylinder planning, distribution planning and scheduling as well as transport contractor management
    • You will be inspiring others to achieve higher levels of performance
    • Moreover, you will operate ethically with a high level of personal integrity that drives your decision-making and you understand the concepts and benefits from fostering a Diverse and Inclusive workforce
    • You will control activities as it relates to Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash processes for PGP Products, all in a safe, reliable, and efficient way
    • Furthermore, you are the key driver in developing and executing the PGP Filling & Supply Chain strategic plan for Region Africa
    • Additionally, you are responsible for driving continuous improvement within the areas above, leading the engagement with the Linde Centre of Competence (COE) and other Linde Regions to identify, develop and implement process and technology improvement projects
    • You will develop and deliver to agreed costs budgets for cylinder filling operations, cylinder maintenance operations as well as distribution costs
    • Lastly, you will provide the business with accurate cost forecasts on PGP Filling & Supply Chain activities and activity cost centres

    What makes you great

    • You possess degree in Business, Engineering or Logistics, a post graduate qualification
    • You have ten Years relevant experience in PGP Filling & Supply Chain
    • Moreover, a strategy formulation and implementation, cylinder filling and cylinder maintenance operations, cylinder planning, distribution planning and scheduling as well as transport contractor and contract management in the industry or similar environment is a valuable experience
    • You have worked at a senior management level for at least 5 years
    • You have excellent and proven Leadership skills
    • You are Business acumen and drive to continuous improvement
    • Lastly, you have a demonstrated knowledge of both technical and commercial contexts of PGP Filling & Supply Chain (filling and distribution), especially gases

    Technical Sales Manager Exports


    What you will enjoy doing

    • As the Technical Sales Manager Exports; you will manage, develop, grow and secure the PGP Hard goods business for Afrox and ensuring value added for these customers by owning and managing their relationships       
    • Regularly reviewing customer base to identify and capitalise on potential business opportunities, major customer visits are required on a regular basis and developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans locally to put forward to these customers timely         
    • You will work with cross functional teams to ensure customer requirements and SLA’s are met, for example MPG Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Exports Administration, Legal and Finance 
    • Ownership and resolution of customer issues related to technical, commercial and supply chain issues and developing marketing strategies per African Region aligned with overall PGP Hard goods strategy   
    • Investigating and developing potential new markets in RAF, negotiating technical specifications to bridge the gap between client expectations and AWC technical capabilities 
    • Part of your duties will include guiding projects teams for successful delivery, ensuring alignment with the agreed strategic solution and direction and actively participate in customer conversion processes including onsite demos and problem resolution

    What makes you great

    • You possess a commercial degree in Sales or Marketing, and you have already gained 6 - 10 years relevant experience in gas industry, product management and commercial experience including technical background    
    • You have good customer relations experience and sales and/or marketing experience are essential

    Area Sales Manager - Cape Town

    • As the Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the sales development in the assigned portfolio, with specific sales, volume and margin targets; responsible for the communication with business management to assess the business requirements for sales enablement
    • You will engage with customers directly and electronically to facilitate the customer relationship, with a clear intent to grow sales volumes, margins and share of wallet profitably
    • You will be the key person in the development and implementation of PGP Hard Goods sales; multi brand, articulate the PGP Hard goods value proposition to the customer, using various methodologies including total cost of ownership
    • You will be responsible for the planning and execution of Electra Mining, Nampo, Selected local and Branch shows; participate and drive local customer demonstrations to drive sales
    • You will develop, implement, and manage a corrective action process for deviations to required targets, responsible to be part of a global peer group to ensure BoP is maintained in PGP Hard goods, identify technical or theoretical and associated needs and attend training courses which become available
    • In addition, you will develop sales budget and costing models for the portfolio/area aligned with the sales strategy; implement a review system that ensures that underperforming accounts are managed, developed and improved

    • You possess matric and business or marketing qualification, with at least 5-10 year experience in sales, portfolio and account management
    • You have interpersonal skills and industrial selling skills, good knowledge of PGP Hard goods products and processes
