Business Manager - Johannesburg at Vodafone Global Enterprise

Your responsibilities will include

• Understand the BI tools available and being able to obtain relevant information from the various source systems
• Conduct and analyse financial performance and indicators per segment against main competitors and industry standards
• Understand IT and Finance processes including data warehouse / business intelligence applications 

Support the MD’s Office

• Ensure on-time and within budget the MD’s deliverables
• Promote a service mentality and develop strong relationships with consumer, business and technology areas 
• Lead world class measurement and improvement model for the analytical and operational teams across MAST. 
• Manage creation of consistent and integrated improvement 
• Resolve problems and mediate disputes before it is escalated to the Consumer Sales and Distributions Officer

Financial review and analysis

• Work closely with the Finance Business Partner to analyse and interpret financial information to ensure that Consumer Sales and Distribution operates within budget requirements
• Proactively engage with CBU leadership on operational and reporting items as required from time to time
• Monitor the implementation of cost saving initiatives

Reporting and Governance

• Ensure a sound reporting framework is in place which is aligned to the Vodacom / Vodafone standards
• Work with key stakeholders to design and develop and an automated dashboard that displays the Consumer Sales and Distribution KPI’s and is fit for purpose
• Ensure that good governance principles are adhered to with the Consumer Sales and Distributions Officer’s office
• Prepare the necessary documentations and presentations as required for internal and external audiences 
• Ad hoc requirements
• Oversee and deliver on strategic projects in the office of the Consumer Sales and Distributions Officer as aligned to the strategic roadmap impacting all functional areas viz EBU; CBU; Technology etc
• Monitor progress on allocated projects deliverables

The ideal candidate for this role will have

• Matric / Grade 12 essential 
• Minimum of 3-year relevant Degree/ National Diploma or is essential
• Business related courses completed is essential 
• A business-related MBA is strongly preferred
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years relevant experience:
• Managing functional responsibilities at a senior manager level within a Corporate environment 
• Telecommunications Project management
• Managing / building relationships at Executive level
• Providing financial analysis at Executive Management level
• Minimum of 2yrs Leadership/Management experience (an advantage)
