• Prepares monthly performance dashboards, challenges and investigates results with the objective of identifying gaps, checking progress towards budget achievement and recommending Gap Closing Actions; designs and maintains early warning systems for financial tracking, ensuring accurate assessment of Risks & Opps; conducts value added analyses, e.g., Resource Allocation, Profitability analyses, Benchmarking to recommend short- and long-term targets and improvement areas
• Proactively drives performance and carries out value-added analyses on financial data: − Sales trends, SPC, Functional Expenses, Other Income and Expenses, Management Cash Flow, Capital Investments, etc.
• Leads the development of detailed budget and financial forecasts for use in Global and Local planning
• Coordinates the Strategy Plan and Annual Budget process in collaboration with the Leadership Team and as such participates in the elaboration of the company’s business strategy; tracks its implementation and the related company’s performance through the preparation of the Monthly Business Review
• Drives continuous learning within the country by performing post-implementation financial analyses on past initiatives and shares results across the organization
• Supports the elaboration of new BD&L deals and assess performance of current deals; proposes areas of improvement
• Ensures consistency and interoperability between different financial reporting systems, works in collaboration with Financial Accounting and Reporting team at-month end to guarantee integrity of financial information
• Drives progresses towards systems and reports automation with the aim to streamline processes and develop Business Partnering activities
• Participates in multifunctional projects on regional level as well as on Country/CPO level
• Proactively interfaces with peers in other country organizations to obtain share and adopt best practices; develops and strengthens Finance function
• Manages personnel and capability building activities across the BPA Team, ensuring effective personnel selection, development, retention and motivation
• Key interfaces include CFO; CEO; Financial Accounting; Function Heads; Global Finance group
• Works within Integrity and Compliance policies and ensures those around him/her do the same
• Works to ensure a diverse and inclusive environment free from all forms of discrimination and harassment

Requirements

Ideal Background Education:

• University degree in Finance or Economics/ Accounting and Finance degrees/Certifications (eg. CPA/CIMA)

Languages:

• Fluent English. Additional SA language a plus

Experience/Professional Requirement:       

• Min 4 years in Financial Planning /Controlling position
• Related business and mining industry experience an advantage
• People Management experience
• Strategic planning experience
• Strong analytical approach, budget management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP/BW
