Reporting to the Business Unit Lead (Mobile Product Management) the responsibilities of the role include but not limited to, financial modelling, developing and implementing pricing strategies, review comparative pricing data, build long term pricing models and reports, performing margin and pricing analysis, market analysis of formal and informal competitors and pricing trends; as well as analyzing overall business (sales) performance and setting forward strategic programmes for operational improvement.
Work with a variety of departments, including sales, product management, marketing and finance, to ensure that their methods comply with company strategy and maximise profitability.
Other duties that are included under a business & pricing manager’s job title include maintaining price lists, contributing content for sales proposals, reviewing price quotes, generating pricing reports on sales revenue and preparing revenue forecasts and budgets for product managers.

Set up the pricing structure in line with the commercial strategy.
Act as key contributor to business strategy development, implementation and performance measuring
Key Role:
Identify profit improvement opportunities (revenue and cost) through modelling and analysis.
Responsible for determining the ideal target price for products of the business
Adjust price guidance according to changes in business situations and/or availability of data.
Review discounting behaviours and trends across segment / products to understand factors that are driving behaviour.
Work closely with product portfolio managers to determine price/product positioning across segments.
To analyse competitor pricing matched with market expectations.
Work with complex data sets to help the Mobile Business determine and set competitive prices to gain market share and achieve revenue goals.
This is a highly analytical role that requires the individual to consider data from multiple sources and develop complex pricing models that reflect margins for promotional and seasonal pricing based on competitor, market, and customer data.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop strategies that drive sales and ensure that the product categories remain competitive.

Duties & Responsibility:
Analyse Pricing Data – Use quantitative and qualitative methods to analyse competitor pricing, assess market share and margins, and track customer engagement in order to gain a complete picture of effective pricing strategies for the company.
Develop Forecasts and Models – assist in revenue forecast and market share information. Use statistical modeling methods to prepare reports that show the potential impact of various pricing strategies, including their effect on margins and costs and how they will impact profitability and sales volume.
Determine Pricing and Promotional Pricing Strategies – work closely with sales and marketing team to develop and enact competitive pricing strategies.
Deal / Promotion Validation – Validates sales quotations and deal plans for accuracy and profitability.
Monitor Industry Trends – Actively monitor industry trends, develop / adjust and help the company gain market share.
Present Findings to Key Decision-Makers – This aspect of the role requires pricing manager to translate complex data into actionable strategies and techniques to drive sales and enhance marketing efforts. Prepare both written reports and visual presentations to share findings.
Requirements:
Strategic planner, yet need to be flexible in your approach.
Responsible for ensuring the productivity and efficiency in broader IM team (non-line management influence); as well as enforcing policies and procedures.
Candidates with a strong grasp of pricing (analytics and philosophy), business acumen, and excellent problem-solving ability.
Ability to make correlations between markets and commerce. Innovation in this market segment is constant, will demand a dynamic skill-set.
Strong negotiation skills (Candidate will be required to support Sales Team in quarterly price negotiations with Mobile Operators and Mobile Retailers)
Experience working as a pricing manager in the same industry
Strong knowledge about the industry including competitors and market trends
