Buyer - Kruger National Park at South African National Parks (SANParks)

Requirements

• Be in possession of a Purchasing Diploma or Supply Chain Management qualification or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience as a buyer.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation governing SCM and SCM Policies
• An understanding of Project management
• Risk Management skills
• Basic financial management skills
• General business management skills
• Negotiation skills
• Analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Implement SCM policies and processes.
• Negotiate and evaluate quotations.
• Manage risk associated with the procurement of goods and services.
• Provide an advisory service to divisions with regard to tender processes, orders in progress and SCM policies.
• Conduct market intelligence (keeping abreast of market trends of related standard commodities).
• Generate and expedite purchase orders.
• Ensure effective reverse logistics of goods returned.
• Compile and submit monthly reports on procurement spent.
• Develop and manage an auditable administrative system
