Buyer - Manufacturing at Hire Resolve

Job Description

• We are seeking a motivated and experienced Buyer who specializes in manufacturing/construction procurement to join our client. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, products, and services required for their manufacturing operations. The Buyer will collaborate with suppliers, production teams, and other departments to ensure that all purchasing activities support the operational needs of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for materials, products, and services required for manufacturing operations
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement and competitive advantage for the company
• Manage procurement process from requisition to receipt of goods, ensuring on-time delivery and quality standards are met
• Monitor market trends and fluctuations in pricing to make informed purchasing decisions
• Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices
• Collaborate with production teams to forecast material requirements and prevent stock shortages
• Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues, delivery delays, and other supply chain disruptions
• Continuously seek opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in the procurement function

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing and procurement, preferably in a manufacturing and construction environment
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with procurement software
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices
