Job Advert Summary    

• Manage the purchasing of maintenance spares to ensure Clover's operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality & delivery to ensure continuity of supply and effective spares optimization

Requirements    

• National Diploma or Trade Tested in Mech/Electrical/Electro-mechanical
• Technical background of engineering products, technical specifications, datasheets and basic engineering drawings
• Relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level 
• Business English: Fluent
• Computer literacy (Intermediate)

Duties and Responsibilities    
Source, optimize and control maintenance expenditure 

• Purchase spares for Engineering and Maintenance Departments
• Issue Requests for Quotations to suppliers to ensure conformance to procurement policy, while maintaining service to the engineering departments
• Optimize and control inventory levels

Supplier management

• Negotiate lead times and prices with Suppliers, while ensuring correct quality of spares
• Negotiate consignment stock with Suppliers ?
• Contact suppliers to ensure that purchase and confirmation orders are received and that deliveries will be shipped on time and in full to ensure continuous supply
• Maintain contact with suppliers while deliveries are on route 

Inventory and maintenance support

• Work with engineering planners to ensure parts for planned work arrive on time in full
• Work with technicians and maintenance managers to ensure spares and services meet correct technical specifications

Improve service levels to internal customers - Production Maintenance  

• Assist with new vendor applications
• Ensure compliance to Procurement policies & procedures
• Deliver updates and reports as and when required by management
• Drive and monitor supplier performance, supplier spend, lead times and open orders management
• Expedite orders for critical spares, breakdowns and planned shutdowns
