The Express Till Cashier will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash and card payments, issuing receipts, and delivering friendly, professional service at the till point.
This role suits a reliable and customer-focused individual with strong attention to detail, basic numeracy skills, and the ability to maintain a clean and organised checkout area
Key Performance Arears:
Manage transactions with customers using cash registers.
Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate.
Collect payments whether in cash or credit.
Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets.
Redeem stamps and coupons.
Cross-sell products and introduce new ones.
Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information.
Greet customers when entering or leaving the store.
Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas.
Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies.
Bag, box or gift-wrap packages.
Handle merchandise returns and exchanges.
Assist when and where needed.
Requirements
Grade 12/Matric.
Minimum 2 years of experience.
Work experience as a Retail Cashier or in a similar role.
