Job Description
Ensure the linkage of business strategy to sourcing strategy and initiatives of a particular category (a group of commodities with similar supply market facing characteristics) of goods and services by identifying value creation opportunities, identifying risks, managing spend and strategic project demands to produce enhanced business results by focusing on delivering customer service excellence and shareholder value. Support the ISM Tower lead in development of multi-year enterprise sourcing strategy and savings road map for the specific tower. Develop category strategies and category strategic plans for categories under management, validating them with the Tower lead and the respective internal customer/s/ business stakeholders. Conduct strategic sourcing initiatives for all strategic sourcing projects, including fact based negotiations (supplier and industry analysis. benchmarks, cost structure analysis) for all managed categories.

CORE ACTIVITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIESISM
Category Strategy & Planning
- Support the ISM Tower lead in development of multi-year enterprise sourcing strategy and savings roadmap for the specific tower
- Develop category strategies and category strategic plans for categories under management, validating them with the Tower lead and the respective internal customer/s/ business stakeholders
- Perform market intelligence and validate data analysis and converts actionable insights into category strategy recommendations
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of respective global/ local supply markets, competitors and product innovations in the specific category
- Play an active role in the communities of practice and work collaboratively with the COE Lead and POC Lead to mature the ISM function and drive continuous improvement of the ISM function
- Develop Preferential Procurement and Supplier Development Strategies that are integrated into the Category strategies and plans
- Support the Tower Lead in Supplier Relationship Management and collaborative supplier value engineering and innovation projects
- Technology awareness and leveraging best practice technologies to drive supplier management
- Support the ISM Tower Lead Supplier Relationship Management and collaborative supplier value engineering and innovation projectsStrategic Sourcing
- Work with cross functional stakeholder groups to understand and document their business requirements for the particular category
- Conduct strategic sourcing initiatives for all strategic sourcing projects, including fact-based negotiations (supplier and industry analysis. benchmarks, cost structure analysis) for all managed categories
- Define project goals, timelines, roles and responsibilities and an overall project management plan
- Leads the development and execution of Go-To Market and negotiation strategy

- Identify supplier risk areas and quantify risk exposure and execute risk mitigation actions for all managed categories
- Support global and in-market strategic sourcing initiatives or projects
- Work with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procured contain all details of the negotiation and tender terms and conditions
- Support the improvement in Preferential Procurement Spend and Enterprise and Supplier DevelopmentStakeholder Management
- Manages internal customer relationships
- Develop comprehensive implementation and communication plans with stakeholders and end users
