Job Purpose

• To supervise scaffold erection teams, ensure work is completed safely and efficiently, and maintain compliance with company procedures, client standards, and legal requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Advanced Scaffolding Certificate
• Working at Heights Certificate
• 3-4 years' scaffolding experience
• Minimum 2 years' supervisory experience
• Medically fit
• Ability to read scaffold drawings and work packs
• Knowledge of OSHA and construction safety regulations

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise scaffolders and scaffold hands.
• Allocate daily work assignments.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Ensure scaffolds are erected according to specifications.
• Inspect completed scaffolds before handover.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Liaise with supervisors, engineers, and clients.
• Monitor productivity and quality.
• Maintain scaffold inspection records.
• Ensure adequate materials and equipment are available.
• Identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
• Mentor junior scaffolders.
