Job Advert Summary    

• ANEW Hotels Centurion is looking for a Chef De Partie to provide an efficient and cost-effective food service to the establishment. To achieve a quality of food delivery and service acceptable standards, creating results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the company.

Minimum Requirements    

• Professional Cookery qualification or similar.
• +2 years proven experience as a Chef de Partie.
• Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• Knowledge of best cooking practises.

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Assists in the maintenance and control of all food procurement, goods receiving, storage, issuing, stock taking, stock analysis and control and stock security procedures.                                               
• Ensure orders are inputted on Plus point and goes straight to kitchen printer for preparation thereof.                                                                      
• Assists in checking daily covers to be recorded on Plus point when opening the table.
• Ensure stocks are neatly packed to get an accurate count.
• Assist in checking daily stock par levels to be maintained and placing orders to fulfil these levels.
• Assist in assessing and defining Par levels for fridges, freezers, dry stores, consumables, and operating equipment.           
• Operating equipment to be checked and stored in a secure place.
• Products used must always be of the highest possible standard, properly rotated and received according to official Hotel policy.               
• Requisition is to be checked against actual issue and any discrepancies to be reported to person who ordered/issued immediately.
