Chemical Engineer at AECI Limited

Job Description    

• Project Management – Develop scope, budgets, schedules and coordinating a multi-disciplinary team. Being able to define requirements and convert it into a suitable and feasible scope
• Propose a conceptual design and perform a cost estimate suitable for capex application Coordinate and implement approved projects
• Process Engineering – mass & energy balances, process operating guidelines and knowledge of plant & equipment capacities, updating of P&ID’s, proposal for process improvement, preparation of RFQ/RFP including equipment specification (datasheets) and liaison with Procurement department
• Reporting
• HIRA facilitation (mainly HAZOP, PHA, HAC PSSR etc)
• Participation in Process Safety activities e.g. HAZOP’s, PHA’s, SIL reviews, LOC review, Root cause analysis
• Conduct feasibility analysis, IRR, NPV and project benefits, plant performance runs on implementation, ROI assess if performance meets requirements

Qualifications & Experience    

• Grade 12
• BSc(Eng) in Chemical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a Chemical Plant Environment
