Chief Accountant Africa at Experian

Why this role is critical to us

• The Chief Accountant Africa will manage the responsibility for the accounting, finance & control processes for the Africa Market providing expert advice on accounting and governance matters.

What you'll be doing

• Monthly accounting and reporting for the Africa region
• Provide financial accounting leadership and support in relation to all revenue and cost items within the African entity
• Work closely and effectively with the local FP&A team and Finance Director in supporting the markets
• Ensure a strong and effective internal control and governance framework is in place which financial data is complete, accurate and all transactions are consistent with Experian's accounting policies and IFRS / local reporting requirements

Desired Skills and Experience

• 3-4 years accounting experience
• Chartered Accountant qualification
• Minimum 2 years' experience in managing people
• Ability to influence stakeholders
• Strong relationship builder
• Ability to be proactive and work independently, with the skill to adapt and drive change where necessary
• Experience working with IFRS would be highly advantageous
