A leading logistics and transport business is seeking a strategic senior leader to head its support services division. Candidates who meet the below minimum requirements are invited to apply:

Minimum Requirements

• Senior finance leadership with proven operational management experience
• Chartered Accountant CA(SA) or equivalent qualification preferred (not mandatory)
• Multi‑entity financial management including VAT, taxation, consolidated financial statements, and audit oversight
• Systems development and automation expertise to streamline processes
• Team leadership: ability to manage 20–30 professionals and build high‑performing teams
• Interpersonal and collaboration skills to strengthen cross‑departmental relationships
• Audit and compliance knowledge to manage external auditors and ensure statutory requirements are met
• Strategic mindset with capacity to support geographic expansion and establish shared services models
• Long‑term commitment and ability to grow alongside the organization

Duties and Responsibilities

• Financial management: Oversee taxation, VAT, multi‑entity reporting, audits, and external auditor relationships
• Support services oversight: Lead IT, HR, Procurement, Legal, and Administration functions
• Systems optimization: Develop and automate processes, implement scalable solutions, and ensure efficiency
• Leadership: Manage a team of 20–30 professionals, foster collaboration, and build strong interdepartmental relationships
• Strategic expansion: Establish support services infrastructure for future geographic expansion across South Africa and Africa
• Stakeholder engagement: Act as a business partner to the executive team, providing insights and support for decision‑making
• Compliance and governance: Ensure adherence to statutory requirements and maintain strong governance practices
• Value creation: Demonstrate the impact and importance of support services across the organization
