Chief Financial Officer at Merchantec Capitals

Role:

• The CFO will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO of the division, providing financial leadership and insight to drive sustainable growth and long-term value creation. This executive will oversee the company's financial operations, including planning, risk management, compliance, and reporting, ensuring the business achieves its objectives with robust financial discipline.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the financial strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives.
• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Lead capital allocation and investment decisions to ensure optimal use of resources.
• Prepare and report on monthly financial packs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and enhance internal controls.
• Drive efficiency and cost optimisation across the organisation.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives, including due diligence and integration processes.
• Build and mentor a high-performing finance team to support business growth.

Requirements: 

• CA(SA) with minimum 10 years post articles experience. 
• Proven experience as a CFO or equivalent senior financial leadership role, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment. 
• Experience with post-merger integration is highly desirable.
• Experience with Sage and Jobsys systems is preferable. 
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into financial strategies.
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to influence and drive collaboration across teams.
• High level of integrity and commitment to ethical standards.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
