Job Description

• Risk Management - Risks are identified, rated in terms of likelihood and severity and reported on with mitigation strategies.
• Management of external service provider to identify potential security risks and room for improvements.
• Liaison with customers/tenants.
• All admin in respect of communication/monthly billing & invoicing.
• Effective management of physical resources.
• Overseeing policies and programs used in the mitigation or reduction of compliance, operational, strategic, and security risk strategies relating to the personnel or staff, any assets, and other property. Responsible for physical security, such as preventing trespassers and protecting physical assets.
• Reviewing existing security measures and updating protocols as needed.
• Fostering a culture of physical and digital security awareness by conducting training sessions and communicating with personnel.
• Managing, evaluating, and resolving any physical or digital security incidents or breaches.
• Ensuring that the company's security policies comply with legislations as stipulated.
• Presenting risk assessments and improved security policies to management team members.
• Working with management to develop and implement an appropriate budget for security programs.
• Representing the company at Joint Planning Committee and Security Officers Liaison Forum.
• Monthly and Annual NKP Audits on the Umbogintwini Industrial Complex Site.
• Ongoing training needs and analysis.

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Diploma or Degree in Security Management
• 3 years’ appropriate experience
• Ability to develop and implement Security Policies and Procedures
• Ability to research and stay up to date with security trends as well as changing Government laws
