Key Responsibilities:

•  Develop discipline – specific technology vision, strategy and direction setting
•  Develop and approve discipline specific philosophies, technical standards, procedures, work practices and specifications
•  Oversee, produce and integrate complex engineering solutions, design for assets creation
•  Plan and control discipline – specific research regarding new technologies
•  Represent Eskom at national and international technical forums
•  Manage and conduct complex product, equipment, materials, services and change impact evaluation
•  Provide complex technical consulting and investigation service for customers
•  Provide professional technical leadership for senior technologists, senior engineers, technologists and engineers in different disciplines

Minimum Requirements

  Qualification(s): 

•  B Tech Mechanical / Electrical /Electronics /Mechatronics / Computer /Civil / Chemical / Metallurgical / Industrial Engineering at NQF7 with 360 credits

   Related Minimum Experience:

•  7 Years Maintenance, operations and/or technical support to the technical operations of power generation or power delivery (Transmission and Distribution) infrastructure. Experience in engineering technologies, standards, specifications. processes, designs construction

  Professional Registration Body:

•  Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as professional technologist
