Job Description

Experience and skills required:

• Minimum of 10 years’ underwriting experience
• Ability to interact with financial advisers including roadshows, complaints handling and general queries
• Exposure to digital/e-underwriting would be an advantage
• Claims exposure would be an advantage

Strong technical underwriting background

• Ability to underwrite life, lump sum disability, Income Protection, Critical illness

• Large case and business insurance knowledge preferable

• Sound knowledge of financial underwriting

• Ability to set standard for difference product ranges

• Current underwriting authority limit at least R30million

Leadership skills

• Experience in managing a team

• Ability to Train and develop tea
