Job Description
Our business product offering has grown significantly over the years. The Face to Face Distribution Model exists of various channels designed to penetrate and grow OUTsurance’s share of the South African Business Insurance market.
Inherent to the channel of Face to Face Distribution is the administration and supportive role of Sales Support. All Independent Broker quotes and policies and administered by the Face to Face Distribution Sales Support department. The Independent Broker advisors within the Sales Support department handle quotes and policies of Independent Brokers.
To facilitate this model the Sales Support Department prepares to expand which creates new opportunity. The position of Sales Support: Independent Broker Advisor has developed.
The incumbent of this position will be responsible for a host of Sales Support Administrative and Process related functions with a specific focus on Independent Broker tasks within the Face the Face Distribution portfolio.

Responsibilities:
Provide professional and a high standard of service at all times to all stakeholders, both internally and externally,
Perform the Independent Broker Advisor and Sales Support Administrative and Process related functions and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines,
Executing Broker Quote and Policy related administrative tasks, including but not limited to:
Preparing and loading of new quotations;
Facilitating and actioning policy amendments and renewals;
Prepare correspondence, reports and documents for Brokers and have knowledge of company policies and procedures;
Submit requests and/or instruction to other insurance companies, internal and external stakeholders;
General administration to further support and leverage the sales process.

Ensure thorough understanding of the OUTsurance Personal and Business Products to be positioned as product expert and provide product related advice to Brokers,,
Reporting Lines:
The Sales Support Independent Broker Advisor will report to line management and work closely with the panel of Independent Brokers.

Qualifications
Completed Matric or Grade 12,
Tertiary admin qualification will be an added advantage,
Policy admin experience will be an added advantage,

The incumbent will need to provide financial advice to clients telephonically and will therefore need to be FAIS accredited to do so.

Responsibilities:
Staff management - Supervise the activities of the teams and ensure the well-being and succession planning of the staff in the teams.
Vendor management – establish and maintain strong partnerships with vendors and set clear expectations. Negotiate access agreements, establish SLAs, ensure contracts are in place to support the services provided by the infrastructure team, negotiate pricing and services
Licence Management – Assist in ensuring licences for third party apps and Microsoft are kept up to date and there is no breach in usage. Also assist to select correct licencing based on requirements of the application. Ensure plans are setup to manage products at End Of Life.
Budget – assist with budgets for existing and new products, Opex and Capex
Standards and procedures - ensure that standards and procedures are in place for the work of his or her team. This includes establishing, writing, and distributing governance and enforcing the governance that’s already in place.
Strategy – Be able to look at solutions and assist business with the right fit for the org strategically and into the foreseeable future
Hardware Estate - must have a good understanding of server and data technologies and the teams responsible for them. They should understand operating systems, physical/virtual platforms, maintenance, storage and backups, DR, HA and load balancing. They should consider cloud-based solutions as part of the infrastructure toolkit.
Infrastructure software - Ensuring the right software and tools are in place to manage the infrastructure. This goes beyond the OS selection; things like software monitoring, device, OS patching, and configuration management tools. Be on the lookup for tools which will benefit the company and the good of the team. Consider online services and how they can benefit the org taking into consideration cost and security. Assist other teams to find solutions fit for their needs and ensure the correct teams are involved in discussions around proposed solutions.
Have a strong focus on security and ensuring the data in the organisation is protected and best practice is followed as far as possible.
