Our client, an established civil engineering and project management contractor based in Cape Town, is looking for an experienced and driven Civil Engineering Site Agent to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a hands-on operational role for someone who takes pride in delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget — while leading site teams with confidence and professionalism.
Requirements:
Relevant degree or diploma in civil engineering or a related field
SACPCMP registration or similar professional registration is preferable
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar site agent or operational role within the civil engineering sector
Strong experience in planning and programming using MS Projects and/or Candy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills in particular
Sound contractual knowledge and commercial awareness
Solid understanding of construction methods, budgeting, and health and safety standards
Strong organisational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects, work to deadlines, and solve problems under pressure
Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
