Class Assistant (Grade 3) at Curro Holdings Ltd

Key performance areas

• Work closely with the phase and class teachers to support the effective running of the phase and grade.​
• Help create and maintain a positive, structured and educational classroom atmosphere that supports teaching and learning.​
• Assist with planning, preparation and delivery of learning activities under the guidance of the teacher.​
• Support the management of learner behaviour in line with school policies and classroom routines.​
• Take responsibility for the proper use, care and safekeeping of school equipment, resources and stock assigned to the class and teacher.​
• Assist with the organisation, supervision and promotion of sport and cultural activities within the school.​
• Support teachers and the school with sport, co-curricular and administrative duties as and when required.​
• Provide general classroom and administrative support, including preparation of materials, basic record keeping and communication with learners where appropriate.​
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to education and willingness to contribute actively to the values, ethos and co-curricular life of the school.

Qualifications, experience and skills

• Studying towards a BEd in Foundation Phase
• Relevant experience in a similar position
• 1 to 3 years experience
• A clear criminal record
