Nurture Cape View provides medical care, and acute and sub-acute rehabilitation treatment for people with a wide range of disabilities caused by disease or injuries. These include spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, neurological disorders, orthopaedic conditions and other debilitating conditions and illnesses.
REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING
Registered Nurse (SANC registered).
>3 years of clinical experience.
Excellent and creative marketing skills.
Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
Experience in other fields of rehabilitation such as management, task teams, or policy/process implementation will be an advantage.
Experience working with ICD 10 coding advantageous.
KEY COMPETENCIES/OUTCOMES
To deliver quality preventative, curative, and psychosocial therapy interventions, (based on individual qualifications) as part of the therapy team.
To visit local hospitals and perform clinical pre-assessment of all patients referred to for physical rehabilitation.
To engage referring specialists, both for marketing and patient referrals.
To oversee the patient journey from acute to post-discharge through the completion of pre-admission assessments; in-hospital treatment and post-discharge follow-up.
Must be willing to learn and adapt to the Nurture Rehabilitation system, training will be provided.
Intentional and directed liaison with families, patients, and referring doctors to ensure values-based care is being provided.
Advocate on behalf of the patients to ensure policies and services serve their best interests through assisting with public relations, communication, and ethical marketing.
