Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as Medical Practitioner. A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience as Medical Officer after Registration with the HPCSA as Medical Practitioner. A qualification in Health Management will be an added advantage. Computer literacy and a valid Driver’s licence.
Duties :
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. Act as overall Manager of Clinical Units and Allied staff. Participate in developing and implementing Operational Plans (including cost containment strategies) on laboratory services and average length of stay including down referrals. Ensure the coordination of all activities necessary for quality and efficient 24-hour patient care. Assist in Clinical Care Audits and Risk Management Strategies to improve Patient outcome. Ensure adherence to relevant Health and Public Legislation including Patient Charter and Batho Pele Principles. Ensure compliance to the Ideal Hospital Framework and Six Ministerial Key Responsibilities. Manage efficiencies and reduce waiting times for forensic waiting list of observations and state patients. Development of Training Programme for a Psychiatric Specialty Hospital. Manage resources (Physical, Human and Finances).
