Cloud Engineer L2 at Dimension Data

Requirements

1. Expert in deploying and managing services on VMware (vSphere) , Azure, AWS and other virtual platforms as needed (Key Requirement).
2. Familiarity with managing workloads across multiple hybrid cloud environments.
3. Administration and Deployment of VMware vRealize Automation Platform.
4. Support and Management of VMware’s Tanzu full-stack modernization suite (advantageous)
5. Implementation and support of Morpheus Hybrid Cloud Application Orchestration.
6. Deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Linux and Windows servers.
7. Strong experience configuring, troubleshooting and tuning system hardware and software configurations for performance and reliability.
8. Diagnose complex systems issues with multiple influencing factors.
9. Incident response to system alerts, serve as point of escalation for after-hours issues.
10. Assist the support team with escalated customer issues.
11. Disaster/Recovery/Restore.
12. Familiarity with Kubernetes and Containerization.
13. Experience with Pure, EMC Isilon, HP StoreOnce Storage Platforms (advantageous)
14. Monitoring tool and deployment automation development.

Qualifications

1. University Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience preferably in Computer Science or System Administration.
2. Minimum of 7 years of experience with Intel platforms including a combination of the following: Windows Server Administration, Linux Server Administration, MS Exchange Server Administration (Key Requirement)
3. Experience with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and Storage Area Networks (advantageous)
4. Experience with Scripting/development in tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python (Highly advantageous)
5. Ability to make accurate and independent decisions under pressure.
6. Experience with a customer service oriented company.
7. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
9. Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously.
10. Ability to work as a team-member, as well as independently.
11. Familiarity with Dev-ops concepts and techniques (advantageous)
