PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

• The Cluster Marketing Coordinators will report directly to the Cluster Marketing Manager
• The Cluster Marketing Coordinators is responsible for the support in: planning, coordination and execution of communication and marketing activities across Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel Sandton Johannesburg, Radisson Blu Hotel Sandton, Johannesburg, and Radisson RED Johannesburg Rosebank,(THE CLUSTER PORTFOLIO), with an emphasis on public relations, social media, and online and offline marketing.

Main Objectives

• Assist in the planning, implementation and execution of public relations, marketing, digital communication and social media activities across the cluster portfolio, under the guidance of the Cluster Marketing Manager.
• Manage social media efforts across the cluster portfolio as planned.
• Support the brand management of across the cluster portfolio, ensuring alignment with the respective brand guidelines and positioning.
• Assist in developing and implement appropriate marketing strategies to ensure the effective strategic positioning, visibility and awareness of across the cluster portfolio and their respective brands.
• Assist and support the overall objectives of each property in the cluster portfolio

Key Responsibilities

Communications

• Assist in developing and implementing PR, digital communication and social media plans to promote the cluster portfolio within the market, in cooperation with the cluster marketing manager.
• Promote the cluster portfolio and its key executives through social media networks, trade shows, interviews, press conferences, media dinners, photo calls and events.
• Research and seek innovative PR opportunities, both online and offline, including identifying opportunities for media coverage and the promotion of spokespeople.
• Support and coordinate local PR agencies, including managing briefs and working closely with agencies to promote the cluster portfolio.
• Develop and maintain media, journalist, influencer and blogger lists for use across multiple properties, in liaison with the corporate PR agency.
• Write, edit and submit news releases and other PR materials to local and regional media.
• Ensure all required reporting is done timeously and within all deadlines.

Marketing

• Support the development and implementation of annual marketing plans across the cluster portfolio
• Ensure a coherent brand message, brand guidelines, brand standards and appropriate tone of voice for each property and brand.
• Deliver creative, innovative and effective advertising, collateral and sales tools.
• Develop online content for B2C and B2B activities across the cluster portfolio.
• Support effective database management across the cluster portfolio.
• Adapt and implement all campaigns as directed by the cluster marketing manager.
• Develop tactical marketing activities and campaigns to the cluster portfolio
• Manage and develop strategic B2C partnerships and sponsorships.
• Manage and develop strategic B2B partnerships and sponsorships.
• Monitor consumer data, campaign performance, ROI and relevant market research.
• Support the implementation of brand MICE offers and campaigns.
• All marketing assets, OTA’s, Websites, collateral and systems should be maintained and updated regularly under the guidance of the cluster marketing manager.
• Assist in photoshoots and all other content related activities.

Social Media

• Manage and execute social media strategies across the cluster portfolio.
• Support online reputation management across the cluster portfolio through social media and review-site monitoring.
• Assist in the creation and execution of frequent promotions across multiple social media channels.
• Monitor and manage relevant online reputation and social media management platforms.
• Manage the properties’ social media channels, creating engaging and informative content using the appropriate brand voice and social media best practices.
• Support on brand content creation, influencer collaborations and social media activations across the cluster portfolio.

• Fully understand the hotels’ fire, emergency and bomb procedures.
• Ensure work is carried out in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others.
• Stimulate and encourage general awareness of health and safety.
• Anticipate possible hazards and conditions and take appropriate action to report them.
• Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, appearance, body language and conduct.

MISCELLANEOUS

• Attend meetings and training as required and approved by the cluster marketing.
• Accept a flexible work schedule where necessary to support the operational requirements of the cluster portfolio as directed by the cluster marketing manager.
• Prepare and update relevant hotel systems as necessary and as guided by the cluster marketing manager.
• Maintain own working area, materials and company property in good condition and report defective materials or equipment.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve operational efficiency and knowledge of the job function.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel emergency procedures, health and safety policies, facilities, operational procedures, relevant licensing, corporate marketing and promotional programmes, and key corporate clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills, adept at managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms.
• Creative mindset, passionate about marketing, and eager to learn and adapt.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and engage cross-functional departments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
• Basic understanding of marketing principles and trends.
