Job Purpose

• To safely and efficiently transport goods, materials, and documents between company sites, clients, and suppliers while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of vehicle care and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Code 10 vehicle in a safe and responsible manner at all times
• Ensure timely collection and delivery of goods to various destinations
• Load and offload materials, ensuring items are handled with care
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any faults or maintenance needs
• Maintain accurate delivery records, logbooks, and proof of deliveries (PODs)
• Ensure compliance with road safety regulations and company policies
• Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients
• Ensure vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness at all times

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Valid Code 10 driver’s license
• Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
• Minimum 3–5 years’ driving experience in a similar role
• Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations
• Ability to read and write (for completion of delivery documentation)
• Clear criminal record
• Medically fit
