Code 10 Driver - Real Steel at SA Metal Group

Job description:

• SA Metal Group requires committed, hardworking and motivated individual to join their Real Steel team as a Code 10 truck driver.

Responsibilities (not limited to the below):

• Navigate your way around greater Cape Town area
• Loading and off-loading various materials and equipment
• Delivery and collection of various materials
• Responsible for the vehicle
• Day to day inspection of the vehicle and to report all faults
• Ensure Adherence to the Road Traffic Act
• Ensure the safety of other road users
• Abide by the regulations as set out in Occupational Health and Safety Act, company policies and the regulations of the road
• Assist with adhoc operational duties

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum Grade 12 education
• Must have a valid, unendorsed Code 10 license with a (valid) PRDP
• Minimum of 5 – 8 years relevant experience
• Hands on and practical approach to the job
• Safety awareneness and consciousness
• Ability to work under challenging conditions
• Sound communication skills (understand, read and write English)
