Managing and reconciling revenue from various sources (e.g bookings, ticket sales, accomodation and tours) with expenses, ensuring accurate financial records and tracking profitability for each travel service;
Monitoring all operational expenses in order to provide insights to help optimise budgets and improve cost efficiency;
Ensuring accurate data flow across booking systems, payment processors, and accounting software, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of how information moves through each system to prevent data discrepancies and ensure timely reporting;
Coordinating timely payments to suppliers while managing accounts payable and ensuring favourable terms for cash flow management;
Ensuring all financial activities comply with industry regulations and local tax requirements, and preparing required reports to meet regulatory standards in the travel industry.
Requirements:
Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA(SA));
Experience: 3-5 years post-articles experience in a similar role, preferably within the travel industry;
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP or Microsoft Dynamics 365;
Availability: Immediate availability is non-negotiable.
