Commercial and Marketing Manager (JB4951) at Kontak Recruitment

Minimum Requirements: 

• Valid Drivers license and own vehicle 
• Proven experience in a senior commercial or managerial role.
• Strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of pricing, distribution, and market strategies.
• Hands-on experience with stockholding, supply chain processes, and distributor management.
• Marketing experience, with the ability to oversee and implement marketing strategies.
• Technical industry experience (preferred, but not mandatory).
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel across South Africa and Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement robust commercial strategies, focusing on pricing, routes to market, and stockholding processes.
• Work closely with distribution partners to streamline commercial operations, ensuring a seamless stock-in and stock-out process.
• Oversee local stockholding to supply and support current distributors effectively.
• Take on a leadership role in overseeing marketing activities, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
• Develop marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and support distribution partners.
• Manage and build relationships with distribution partners, providing commercial guidance and support to maximize sales performance.
• Regularly engage with distributors on pricing strategies and routes to market.
• Set up and manage local stockholding to improve supply chain efficiency.
• Monitor and manage stock flow directly to distributors.
• Although initial responsibilities exclude direct sales, there is potential to transition into direct sales initiatives in the future.
• Travel across South Africa and Africa to meet distributors, assess markets, and drive commercial activities.
